Guided tours in Frankfurt am Main

The enjoyment of art // "Kunst am Bau" tour at the German National Library in Frankfurt am Main // Thursday, 15 February 2018, 18:00

In February visitors will once again have an opportunity to experience at first hand the works of art at the German National Library.

The tour of the library building on Adickesallee in Frankfurt also includes works of art displayed in the non-public areas. Art historian Ruth Langen-Wettengl will provide information on the origins and backgrounds of the works by Per Kirkeby, Georg Baselitz, Ilya Kabakov, Candida Höfer, Tobias Rehberger and Jochen Gerz. And the tour will include pointers on interpreting the often complex works and the myriad references to the National Library.

Ruth Langen-Wettengl is the author of the book "Zugabe. Kunst in der Deutschen Nationalbibliothek in Frankfurt am Main" which was published to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the building.
