Resource Description and Access (RDA)

In the context of the internationalisation of cataloguing codes and formats, the Office for Library Standards has played an active part in the development process of the new international code "Resource Description and Access (RDA)". RDA integrates principles from the IFLA models Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR), Functional Requirements for Authority Data (FRAD), and the Statement of International Cataloguing Principles (ICP). Metadata communities are also involved in the development process of RDA.

Detailed information, the RDA Prospectus as well as other working documents can be found on the JSC web site. RDA is published as part ot the RDA toolkit.

Most documents on this website are in German only.
