Cross Concordance STW / SWD

Objective

The aim of the project was to link up subject headings of the Standard Thesaurus Wirtschaft (Standard Thesaurus for Business and Economics, STW) with the economics section of the Schlagwortnormdatei (Subject Authotity File, SWD). This was done by an automated duplicate checking and editing. This mapping enhances the possibility of a precise and successful search for electronic publications as well as essays, periodicals and monographs in economic science. Now it is possible to search hetergoneously-indexed databases by means of a single indexing language.

former Welt-Wirtschafts-Archiv of Hamburg (Hamburg Institute of International Economics), former Bibliothek des Instituts für Weltwirtschaft (Library of the Institute for World Economy) - Deutsche Zentralbibliothek für Wirtschaftswissenschaften (ZBW) in Kiel (Kiel Institute for World economics) - in the meantime, both were merged into the German National Library of Economics - Leibniz Information Centre for Economics (ZBW).
