DDC-vascoda
Objective
Until the present, vascoda's search facility only offered a free-text search covering all fields, or an advanced search in which the free-text search can be combined with the formal criteria of author, title and year (of publication). The search can be restricted to individual subject areas or subject publications, however, there is no topic-based access to the information. vascoda uses the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) as a uniform classification instrument. The aim of the DDC-vascoda project is to set up a user-friendly and uniform topic-based search facility as a means of accessing the full content.
