The German National Library invites guests at the Leipzig Book Fair to visit its newly designed activities area and get involved in the discussion. What does the German National Library actually do? Do libraries have a future, and what does it look like? We will offer you insights into various areas of our work during a series of talks, presentations and workshops. The German Museum of Books and Writing, the German Exile Archive 1933–1945 and the German Music Archive will showcase themselves and their unique collections. Relax in our audio chairs and enjoy an extensive repertoire of music and films. Remarkable diversity: online publications held in the collection of the German National Library

Online resources include everything produced by the publication landscape, from reference manuals to novels, magazines and audiobooks. Our collection of 14 million online publications ensures this diversity is preserved.

Our collection of online resources in its current form is rich in variety. This talk will present what has been achieved so far and explore the technology for depositing such items, as well as looking forward to expanding the collection to include music.
