GND Forum NFDI, FID & Co: Authority data in research
Professional event

end 10.12.2024, 16:00
location Virtual
The Integrated Authority File is increasingly being seen as a central, reliable and trustworthy persistent identifier system in the fields of culture and research. The purpose of authority data is to help visualise connections between persons, research content, corporate entities, collection items and other entities. The four NFDI humanities consortia (Text+, NFDI4Culture, NFDI4Memory and NFDI4Objects) and a growing number of specialised information services are currently working on various projects designed to integrate the GND into the working practices of researchers. Museums and archives have also formed regional networks serving the same purpose. The GND Forum NFDI & Co. invites everyone with an interest in this topic to find out more about current projects in the German-speaking countries.
The GND Forum is a platform for knowledge-sharing and discussion. After each session, participants will have time to weigh in and report on their own experiences. The event will take place online.
Organised by German National Library and Göttingen State and University Library
