If this appeals to you, the “Hands-On Museum” is perfect for you: the German Museum of Books and Writing in Leipzig offers an extensive programme of events for all ages, for schools, studies and for your free time.

The educational programme of the German Exile Archive, which includes workshops, guided tours, digital offerings and other formats, invites users to engage with exile history and combines historical accuracy with relevance to the present day. It is available to school classes, students, multipliers in the fields of education, culture and society, and the interested general public.

Europe and Us

In the second half of 2020, Germany took over the presidency of the Council of the European Union. As the memory of the nation, the German National Library was keen to emphasise the importance of Europe for our country, both in our past and for our future. This is why we accompanied Germany’s presidency of the Council of the EU with a wide range of events.
