The folly of a contempt for books: “Nescit homo pretium eius” (Job, 28:13)
This illustration of a quotation from the Book of Job was provided by the image library of the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte. The original cover illustration, “The folly of a contempt for books”, is fittingly housed in the library hall of Strahov Monastery in Prague.
