- Launched: Founded in 1917, the collaboration has been ongoing since the 1980s
- Objective: Create an independent platform for standardisation in Germany and globally.
- Role of the German National Library: Member of some working groups and one of the sponsors of the Standardisation Committee for Information and Documentation (NID). We also participate in the working groups for quality measures for national libraries and for Universal Coded Character Set run by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
