On 12 December 2023, the Exile Archive screened the film »Out of Exile – The Photography of Fred Stein« to mark the related exhibition on Fred Stein at the German National Library. The film spotlights the exiled photographer's life and work and also shows the efforts of Peter Stein, Fred Stein's son, to rescue his father's work from oblivion. The evening closed with a talk by Peter Stein, who produced and directed the film.
