Klaus Schneider created the artwork “Ein Würfelwurf” (“A Throw of the Dice”) from a poem by Stéphane Mallarmé. The poem was translated into Braille but the order of the Braille dots was dissolved. The result is a deep blue four-part panel painting reminiscent of a starry sky that hangs high up in the library’s reading room.
