At the end of 2019, Dr. Elisabeth Niggemann retired after more than 20 years as Director General of the German National Library. The occasion was commemorated by the creation of this lexicon, which contains 269 individual contributions that provide insights into the German National Library’s work over the last two decades from widely varying perspectives and describes developments in topics of current interest.
